International Students

The International Student Scholars Office (ISSO) develops an annual estimate of costs for a non-resident, full-time enrolled student in the Health Informatics & Analytics program. A detailed breakdown for the 2023-2024 academic year can be found here. When estimating the full cost please make sure to include the HIA School-Based Tuition Increment (SBTI) listed at the bottom of the ISSO form.

North Carolina Residency

The state of North Carolina substantially subsidizes the cost of tuition for all students whose domicile, or permanent legal residence, is in North Carolina. Residency determination for graduate students at UNC Charlotte is centralized at the statewide North Carolina Residency Determination Service (RDS) rather than determined locally by campus officials. New applicants claiming NC Residency as well as currently enrolled students who wish to apply for in-state residency for tuition purposes will be required to do so through the RDS. Additional information on North Carolina resident status for tuition purposes is available here.
